The Cuvée Flibuste is undoubtedly the one that has allowed the La Favorite brand to shine in recent years.
The Domaine de La Favorite :
The Domaine de La Favorite was originally a cane sugar factory.
Founded in 1842, its sugar was exported to mainland France.
Over time, however, beet sugar became increasingly popular in Europe and the price of cane sugar continued to plummet.
The owners of the estate found themselves forced to auction off their business.
In 1903, Mr Henri Dormoy bought the factory with the intention of converting it into a rum distillery.
In 1906, the first cane juice was extracted using the impressive steam engines.
This same juice was then distilled to produce rum: La Favorite was born!
LA FAVORITE Cuvée spéciale de la Flibuste - Vintage 1986 :
It's a real invitation to a gustatory voyage, and this 1986 vintage is exceptional!
