"Afron" by Rhys Davies - W. and G. Foyle, London - 1930 Limited edition of 400 copies, this being no 206 signed by author - 15cmx13cm - condition: book in good condition, some soiling to cover, in original dustwrapper with some loss in mylar cover, bookplate to colophon page.
A single long story, a dark domestic drama with a Welsh setting. Davies, a Welshman, wrote about his native country with a mixture of affection and honesty that displeased many of his countrymen. He was a friend of John Gawsworth (i.e. T. I. Fytton Armstrong), who put stories by Davies into several of his weird anthologies in the 1930s, and featured him in Ten Contemporaries, his 1932 bibliography
