Theodolite Stanley UK in the original wooden box. The original William Ford Stanley book from 1914 completes the gift.
Theodolite, is an instrument for measuring horizontal and vertical angular directions (with which horizontal and vertical angles are calculated), being used in geodesy, surveying, construction, mining and many others
The measurements are made with the theodolite fixed on a stand (tripod) on which the instrument is adjusted (leveled) perfectly horizontally with the help of levels with air bubbles. The instrument is equipped with a scope with a graduated eyepiece with the help of which the operator aims exactly at the points on the field; vertical or horizontal directions are determined with graduated dials!
