Astounding combination of a big Morganite crystal with bright green Elbaite sitting on a Lepidolite matrix from Nuristan District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan. A beautiful, thick, tabular crystal of Morganite sitting on a matrix of platy Lepidolite and Albite with prismatic bright green Elbaite crystals scattered over the matrix and Morganite. The Morganite is nicely terminated, has a greasy/satin luster, hazy translucency and a very slight pinkish hue. The Elbaite is nearly transparent, has a vitreous luster and a bright green coloration.
The specimen is in excellent condition, with no noticeable damage.
