The Tamdhu whisky is almost completely used for the production of blended whiskies, such as The Famous Grouse, J & B and Cutty Sark but it has always been regarded as a great Single Malt, and new owners, Ian Macleod Distillers, are now focusing on this. This Tamdhu was distilled in 1991 and matured in a single Bourbon hogshead for 18 years. It was bottled at cask strength in June 2009 by Cadenhead as part of their Authentic Collection series. One of only 228 bottles.
