About the artist:
Born in 1992 in California, Jacques Guetta, also known as Hijack, has a long history with street art; he is the son of famous, street and pop artist Mr. Brainwash. Growing up, Guetta was surrounded by renowned street artists like Space Invader, Bansky, and Shepard Fairey. As Hijack evolved as an artist, he found his own voice, inspired by icons of art history and contemporary culture.

Working with both the urban terrain and canvas, Hijack's visual language depends on mixed mediums, oil paint and spay paint. Through these mediums, the street artist creates works of art imbued with humor and irony, aiming to critique contemporary society.

In 2013, Hijack first entered the UK art scene with his gallery debut at Mead Carney Fine Art Gallery in London. The sold out show garnered Guetta international attention and was featured in publications such as Art of England, Huffington Post UK, The Art Newspaper, and the Telegraph.

Hijack's artistic success launched him into the spotlight as a contemporary art phenomenon. Guetta has exhibited worldwide and collaborated with famous street artists like NY's Cope and Japan's Dragon 76.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Hijack continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art with his signature colorful style that appropriates the famous iconography of art icons such as Banksy, Andy Warhol, Piet Mondrian, and Monet. The contemporary artist takes various genres of art including modern art, impressionism, classic art, and pop art and adds a contemporary twist as well as his own silhouette making these famous canvases his own.
