Beautiful art deco porcelain sculpture of a sitting nude woman by Drasche Porcelain Manufactory.
Very rare piece, in excellent - flawless - condition.
Design: Miklós Veress about 1940.
The artist's signature on the base.
Marked with "D" stamp, Made in Hungary.
Dimensions: 33,5 x 13,5 x 13 cm.

Drasche Porcelain factory was founded in 1838 in Hungary. Porcelain decoration manufacture has begun in 1908, under Marton Schwartz's supervision, who has left Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture Company and has led the works and has also tried to achieve eosine glaze on the items. Numerous famous artists and sculptors have worked for the company including Gertrude Donner, Béla Markup, György Vastag and Zoltán Liszkay Kovács. The company was declared as a military factory in 1941, and has also suffered a severe bomb attack in 1944. In 1949 the factory was nationalized.
The company's art deco and art noveau style figurines are the most popular among collectors.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy that you are satisfied with your purchase. But your neutral feedback makes me sad, because I did everything to make the transit happen fast. The package was posted on the third working day from the three that Catawiki provides for the sellers. The transit itself took 4 working days, which does not count as a big delay. In case a buyer notifies me in advance that the item's transit is urgent (like meant for a special occassion), then I can give that package priority. Me as a single person seller have my limits, and am not able to ship like big retailers.
