This Akai GXC-310D is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by Akai in 1975 with a manufacturer suggested retail price of USD $375.

The main features of the Akai GXC-310D are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, tape type selection and capable of handling normal tapes.

Typical of this deck is the 70's top loading layout with the cassette compartiment located on the center of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.

Level meters used on the GXC-310D are analog needle VU reading meters.

The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the GXC-310D by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.

For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied. Connection to other audio components for plaback can be achieved by a cable and recording from a source by a cable.

The unit has been revised and serviced ( all belts have replaced heads cleaned and demagnetized). Unit is fully operational.

Super verpakt, snel verzonden, spijtig dat de volume control intern vervangen is door het verkeerde onderdeel waardoor de loudness en balans niet werken...terwijl er stond "werkt zoals het hoort"...

het apparaat ziet er goed uit ook goed verpakt maar na het aansluiten blijkt dat de potmeter van hard en zacht bij elke aanraking kraakt bij het kavel stond in goede conditie dus iets klopt er niet
