A set of 2 large traditional Togatta Kokeshi, from a Kyoto-based collector.
The larger one is made and signed by Sato Tetsuro.
This seems to be the oldest one. It has only superficial wear and tear and it has well balanced decorations which are a bit faded.
It is signed on the back side, next to what seems to be grass or a bunch of flowers.
The smaller doll is a real beauty too, with elaborate floral decoration on the front and back side!
Information is written on the side and bottom. I have not found out who made it, but maybe you can? It is an accomplished artist, surely.
This doll is in very good shape, no damages or scratches. There is some transparent tape on the right side, which should be easy to remove by a new dedicated owner ;)
Considering their age, at least 50 years old, these Kokeshi are in very good shape and well kept by the previous collector.
