Kobayashi Gokyo (1871-1928)
Japanese painter of the Meiji and Taisho periods.
His real name was Kisaburo.
Also known as Muneyoshi.The pseudonym is Nisshosai.
Born in 1871. Studied under Imao Keinen of the Shijo School.
Formed the Nichigetsu-kai with Okakura Shusui and others in 1900.
He excelled at painting flowers and birds.
Died in 1928. 58 years old. Born in Kyoto.
