Enchanted by the bay of Cadaqués, he lived for a long time in Port de la Selva, where he had a workshop gallery overlooking the bay he often painted. Despite his extensive travels, Mariné never left Poblenou, lamenting its loss of identity as a neighborhood in his later years.
