the first comprehensive researches within half a continent, and have made more unexpected discoveries
than they could ever have dared to hope for.
An eventfull story of two years of perpetuel winter spend in South Polar regions.

Very interesting -with 228 wonderfull b/w and color illustrations along with four color maps:
-Page 316 - The Northern part of the Mainland and Islands of West Antarctica (58 x45 cm)
-Page 338 - Sketch-map of Cumberland Bay (19 x 23 cm)
-Page 434 - Sketch-map of Hope Bay (on one page).
-End of Volume - Showing the Track of the Antarctic -complete, but in bad state (54 x47 cm).

Ex library book compleet with 608 pages. The spine has been recased.
Never the less very interesting and extreme rare
(NB. only a few for sale for more than €600,-)
Weight ca. 1,5 kg.

Dank voor het mooie boek. We gaan het met plezier lezen. Het is inderdaad nog heel schoon voor zijn leeftijd. Alleen jammer van de ene scheur (niet vermeld).

il t'a deux planches de gravures qui sont des reproductions modernes non indiquées dans la fiche , ce qui est une incorrection de la part du vendeur !!!
