Weegee was the pseudonym of American photographer, and photojournalist, Arthur Fellig. He is best known for the work illustrated here in this book - his stark, and sometimes shocking, b/w photography of the 'underbelly' of the city of New York.
In publisher's hardback binding, under original (unclipped) photographic dust jacket. Full of gritty scenes of the reality of The Big Apple, documenting its less attractive history. With text in French, translated from English by Isabelle Delord.
