DESCRIPTION
Caves Vale do Rodo is a modern and professional company, bringing together grapes from different “terroirs” from Baixo and Cima Corgo and increasing the capacity to produce more and better wines. They combine the ancestral practices of the oldest Demarcated Region in the world with the state of the art of the most modern technology. Its mission is to produce high quality DOC Douro and DOP Porto wines with an excellent quality/price ratio. These wines are the sum of the knowledge and dedication of its winegrowing associates, the uniqueness of its “terroirs” and the know-how of its technicians and workers.

WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and others.

VINIFICATION
The grapes are crushed and totally pulled out from the stalks. Fermentation with strong maceration, interrupted by wine brandy addition. Aging for 2 years in large capacity wooden casks, minimum of 1 year in bottle.

TASTING NOTES
Deep purple color, with limpid aspect. Intense aroma, red fruit well marked, some spices. Very fresh and full-bodied. Well integrated tannin. A long and persistente finish.

SERVING
It goes well with sweet desserts, strong cheeses and chocolates. Decant before serving. Store in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations. Keep the bottle in a horizontal position. Best served at a temperature between 16-18ºC.
