This amazing silver bracelet is perfectly round with a facetted exterior, creating a dynamic and textured surface. Towards the ends, the bracelet features finials shaped like wolf heads, depicted with wide open mouths and finely detailed heads.
Fenrir is a colossal wolf in Norse mythology, known for his immense strength and fearsome nature. He is the offspring of the god Loki and the giantess Angrboda, making him one of the most formidable creatures in the mythological world. Fenrir is described as a monstrous wolf with an insatiable appetite, growing so large and powerful that the gods became fearful of his potential to wreak havoc. In response, the gods attempted to bind him with various chains, but Fenrir broke free each time. Eventually, they crafted a magical ribbon called Gleipnir, made from impossible ingredients like the sound of a cat's footfall and the breath of a fish, which successfully restrained him.
Fenrir's role in Norse mythology is significant, as he is prophesied to play a crucial part in Ragnarok, the end of the world. According to the myth, Fenrir will break free from his bonds during Ragnarok and devour Odin, the chief of the gods, before being slain by Odin's son, Vidar. Fenrir's image is often associated with themes of chaos, destruction, and the inevitable doom that awaits the gods.
