Asterix and Cleopatra (French: Astérix et Cléopâtre) is a 1968 Belgian–French animated comedy film; it is the second Asterix adventure to be made into a feature film. Overseen by Asterix creators Goscinny and Uderzo (who had no involvement in the production of the first film, Asterix the Gaul and in their director debuts), the film is noticeably more well-produced than its predecessor, featuring far more detailed animation and a more polished soundtrack.

Asterix and Cleopatra is practically a musical, featuring three individual song sequences and a more varied score than the earlier film. Elements of satire and surreal humour (such as Cleopatra's singing lion and the engraving of Santa Claus on the pyramid wall) are prominent throughout.

So you’ve seen Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra? Well, you ain’t seen nothin yet!
The truth about the Queen of the Nile and her relationship with Julius Caesar is finally revealed in this highly successful, sword-swinging, slapstick animated feature.
Caesar insults the beautiful Cleopatra, by telling her that her nation is only fit to live in under semi-slavery by the Romans.
She decides to prove him wrong by building a wonderful palace in Alexandra in less than three months.
But how can she achieve the impossible? Luckily Artifis, one of Cleopatra’s incompetent architects knows of a grand Gallic Druid by the name of Getafix who arrives accompanied by his two friends none other than Asterix and Obelix.

Posters are folded and have small pin holes at the corners, as well as original stamps on the front and back side of Euro-Centrafilm, the rental company and the Dutch Commission of movie approval.

Netjes verpakt en verzonden. Alleen had de postbode niet aangebeld maar de grote harde enveloppe gewoon in de brievenbus gepropt. Daardoor zat hij klem in de postbus. Gelukkig geen beschadiging!
