Vintage 1950’s Austrian Berg Bear

RARE in excellent original condition
• Dimension: 23 ins (58 cm) tall standing and 16 ins (42 cm) in seated
position
• Rare and highly collectable in exceptional condition
• A really wonderful example of a Berg Vintage Mohair Teddy Bear made in
Austria in the 1950s
• Still has the love “heart” attached to chest in excellent condition
• Small but clearly visible inscription engraved on the back of the heart: “Berg
Tiere mit Herz” / “Animals with hearts”
• 100% woodwool filled as in consistent with Berg made bears of this period,
fully jointed.
• All the joints are in good working order
• Mohair is an attractive light gold/yellow colour, there are no bald patches!
• Paw and Foot Pads are made from felt and are all original
• Teddy has original glass eyes and his nose vertically stitched and mouth
stitching all original.
• Teddy has a working growler. Humming bear.
