This exquisite incense burner from Showa era, showcases the intricate beauty of Takaoka copperware. The lid features openwork designs of autumn herbs, while the body displays detailed relief work.

This industry evolved, producing exquisite bronze flower vases and Buddhist altar fittings, gaining international acclaim by the Meiji period, including at the Paris Exposition.
The base is inscribed with "鍛栄" (Tanei), indicating it was made in the Tanei workshop. The wooden box is not an original, but great for safe storage.
The incense burner shows signs of age, including wear, a rich patina, and a chip on the inner rim. Please refer to the photos for the condition.
