Wonderful set of Malagasy hippopotamus teeth and tusks (5 pieces). The animals were very similar to today's hippos and pygmy hippos. The fossil record suggests that at least one species of hippopotamus lived until about 1,000 years ago.

Upper tusk: 10.8 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm - 20 g
Molar: 4.9 x 3.7 x 2.7 cm - 45 g
Incisor: 8.2 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm - 25 g
Incisor: 7.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm - 20 g
