2011 Domaine de Trevallon - Provenza - 1 Botella (0,75 L)

Domaine de Trévallon is located in Provence, on the edge of the Alpilles chain between Avignon and Arles. The first vineyards were planted in 1973 by creator Eloi Dürrbach and the estate is still managed by this family today. The first wines were put on sale in 1976. Today the vineyard is planted with red grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah (15 hectares), and two small hectares of white grape varieties: Marsanne and Roussanne. The winemaking methods are natural and minimally interventionist, without destemming, whole bunch fermentation and natural yeasts, bottling without filtration. The wines are marketed under the PGI Alpilles designation, which covers the western part of the Bouches-du-Rhône department. The 2011 red Trévallon is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, planted on very stony clay-limestone soil. The aging lasts 24 months in barrels and barrels and the lees found at the bottom of the barrels nourish the wine throughout the aging process. Light aging with fresh egg white but no filtration for bottling. This wine has great aging potential. Grape variety: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Syrah Alc. 13,5%
