Roman Imperial, Salonina. Augusta, AD 254-268. AR Antoninianus Antioch mint. 4th emission, AD 255-257. This Antoninianus is featuring a draped bust of Salonina on the obverse, with her wearing a stephane (crown) set on a crescent moon—a symbol of divinity and possibly connecting her to the goddess Diana.
The reverse depicts the goddess Pudicitia (modesty), standing facing with her head left, raising her hand and holding a scepter. The legend on the reverse reads PVDICITIA AVGG, honoring Pudicitia as a deity representing chastity and virtue for both the emperors. RIC V (joint reign) 65 var.
