The Dynaco SE-10 Equalizer is such a versatile product that we are tempted to think of it as the creative component. We believe it may be helpful to provide you with a list of some of its uses. Listening rooms seldom have excellent or even uniform acoustical properties. The judicious use of the Dynaco Equalizer can improve listening realism by compensating for excessive reflection or absorption of certain frequencies. The SE-10 Equalizer can help make fine speaker systems extraordinary, by smoothing normal variations at crossover points and between drivers. Although all discs use a standard RIAA playback characteristic curve to obtain a flat response, virtually every disc is also equalized during the recording session or when mixing down. This is most often accomplished by the choice of a microphone which possesses frequency shaping for a given instrument, or by actually altering the frequency spectrum.
