○ Product description
This product is a sake cup made of high-quality Japanese lacquerware to enjoy SAKE on special days. It is "Echizen lacquerware" made in the Echizen region of Fukui Prefecture. This region is also known as a lacquer production area, and lacquerware is made using high-quality lacquer. Lacquer is made from natural tree sap and has excellent water resistance and durability. Echizen lacquerware has a long history and is still loved by many people today because of its beauty and durability.
All of the pictures, mainly gold, are in very beautiful condition. In particular, the gold fan depicts natural landscapes such as pine, bamboo, and plum. "Shochikubai" is a traditional symbol of Japan and is widely used, especially as a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity. Each plant has its own unique meaning, which is interpreted as follows.
1. Pine:- Pine is an evergreen tree that does not lose its leaves even in winter, so it is considered a symbol of eternity and immortality. In addition, pine has strong vitality and can withstand harsh environments, so it represents prosperity and longevity.
2. Bamboo:- Bamboo grows quickly and grows straight, so it symbolizes success and prosperity. Bamboo is also flexible and sways gracefully in the wind, so it represents the ability to withstand adversity.
3. Plum:- Plum blossoms symbolize hope and new beginnings because they bloom in early spring. Plum blossoms have a pleasant fragrance and bloom despite the cold, so they represent patience and beauty.
In Japan, this sake set is used for celebratory sake on special occasions such as New Year's Day. It consists of three sake cups (small, medium, and large), a sake cup, and a tray. This product is decorated with natural lacquer and maki-e.
