Writing slope - 桃花心木, 黃銅 - 便攜式傾斜

Beautiful portable writing desk, mahogany inlaid with brass and with the original inkwells in situ. There is a secret drawer hidden on one side of the desk, with one visible on the other side with a smooth design for the handle against the wood.

The sloping elements fold back to show hidden compartments underneath for storing letters and spare paper, ink and pens.

The wood is unblemished but the brass wire inlay needs straightening and putting back into place. The leather desk element inside the is worn with age, but not split or broken.
