Vintage Lomonosov USSR Cobalt Blue Gold Golden Frieze Pattern Beautiful Coffee Set made by Lomonosov Porcelain in the Golden Frieze pattern. Made in USSR (prior to the Soviet Union being broken up). Excellent condition; looks like it was never used. Lomonosov logo on base of both pieces. Beautiful, rich cobalt blue with gilded accents. Very unusual and beautiful tea set Lomonosov,St Petersburg,Russian,USSR. Founded in 1744 by Peter the Great's daughter, Empress Elizabeth, Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (formerly the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory of St. Petersburg) is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe. Creating hand-made and hand-painted porcelain in the traditions set by Russian artists and sculptors such as Kandinsky, J-D. Rachette, and others, the quality, beauty, and craftmanship of Lomonosov Porcelain is unparalleled. The pieces are cobalt blue and gold, stunning and with hand painted gold filigree aaround the top edge of the cup and the inside rim of the saucer and dessert plate. The rim of the saucer has a thick gold band. They have no damage and no wear to gold. It is in EXCELLENT condition!!

In response to your disappointment, I must say that Lomonosov makes teapots/coffeepots and sugar bowls with moving lids. This is not a defect, but typical of Lomonosov products. The color of cobalt can also range from light cobalt to dark cobalt. This is also characteristic of Lomonosov products, since it is still a craft and is not considered a mistake. I write the product description in the ad. I also include pictures of each product so that the buyer has the most accurate idea possible. Since the products were not defective but came from the factory as such, I do not see myself at fault. However, liking or not liking a product is a very personal opinion and I can't help anyone with that. Google is the most suitable helper for this, which helps to collect information about both the manufacturer and the product. I am of course very sorry that you did not like the porcelain.
