Afterword in English and Japanese, by Japanese photographer Osamu Kanemura. Scarce collection of Kitai s photos of the farmers of Sanrizuka and of the riots over the construction of Narita Airport on their farmland. Kitai's work, as ever, is quietly observant, focused on mundane scenes and activities, as well as protest gatherings and their aftermath. Uncannily absorbing photos by the vastly underregarded Kitai.
