Magnificent large Karl Ens vintage porcelain figurine of a “Bird of Paradise ” resting on a branch, in excellent condition.
This amazing porcelain statue was produced by the Karl Ens Porcelain Factory in Volkstedt, during the middle 20th century, marked on the base with Ens Mill on Blue color (after 1945).
Most Birds of Paradise are distinguished by striking colors and bright plumage of yellow, blue, scarlet, or green, qualifying them as some of the world's most dramatic and attractive birds.
Males often sport vibrant feathered ruffs or amazingly elongated feathers, which are known as wires or streamers.
This porcelain bird have an astonishing yellow tail, vivid emerald green to electric blue head and part of the wings, completed with dusty pink and brown.
It is in excellent more to pristine condition, marked on the back with the blue Ens “mill” mark of the period, impressed numbered # 7720, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
