The Jeep Comando is an off-road vehicle marketed from 1968 to the 1980s by the Zaragoza company Viasa. It was built under Willys license by Carde and Escoriaza. The French company Hotchkiss tried to sell it in its local market without much success. It was sold under different commercial names: Van for the closed van version, Toledo the passenger version, Duplex the double cabin version and Campeador the open box version. It was also sold in its last years under the Jeep-Ebro and Jeep-Avia brands.

In total, adding all its variants, only 8,000 units were built which makes it quite a rare car.

Engine:
This is an 4108 Perkins diesel engine. the 4 cilinder engine with 1785CC creates around 50HP.
The drivetrain is a 4x4 with a rear differential.
It runs good and it starts right up.

Exterior:
The paint is in good condition as you can see on the pictures, It’s probably resprayed a while ago. there are some signs of overspray on some rubbers. The exterior color also seems to be a bit different than the color in the engine compartment.
The overall condition of the paint is good. It does have some small scratches and stone chips. On the bonnet there are two light scratches just above the Jeep sticker. The window seals are still original, so they are dry.

Wheel and tires:
The white 16 inch “Bull Face” rims with the 225/70/16 tires really pops against the red exterior paint. These also give the car a more "offroad" and modern look. They match great with the white leather interior. And the small red/ blue pinstripes on the rims makes the look complete.
The tires still have plenty
Under the car there is an original spare wheel.

Interior:
The custom white leather with red diamand stitching seats are in good condition.
It matches great with the red leather dashboard and red leather steering wheel.
These two upgrades are later added and shows that someone spend allot of money on it back in the day. The back seat is foldable and so is the passenger seat. The passanger seat can also fold all the way up for easy acces to the rear seats.

Technical:
The odometer reading is: 59.283 km, but it’s not working. Unfortunately there is no previous maintenance book to see what kilometers it did exactly.
It leaks a bit of oil, as expected from an old vehicle. The leakage looks like it's coming from the rear differential. Perhaps it's the bolt or the internal seal.
The engine, breaks and gearbox are in good working condition.

Maintenance:
Last maintenance was on 20/09/2024 to pass the MOT (in Spanish ITV). There the lights we checked and replaced, the brake fluid was changed, the interior door handle was changed, and it passed MOT.

The car can be inspected and picked up from Pinoso, Alicante Spain.
