Perivale Westminster chime mahogany mantel clock for repair. Chimes every 15 minutes and strikes full hours, with Westminster chime and an option for silencing the chimes. Britannia brand mark to the movement.
The clock has a broken front glass and a pendulum missing. Tested with a pendulum from another clock was working and chiming as it should.
Some signs of wear and discolouration in places, measurements 28 x 21 x 13cm .
The Westminster Quarters (or Westminster Chimes, from its use at the Palace of Westminster) is a melody used by a set of striking clock bells to mark each quarter-hour. It is also known as the Cambridge Quarters or Cambridge Chimes from its place of origin, the church of St Mary the Great, Cambridge. The number of chime sets matches the number of quarter hours that have passed.

The company used the "Anvil" trademark which appeared on the bottom right-hand corner of the back plate.
Their range included movements for eight-day or fourteen day striking and bracket clocks, ting tang striking on three rods, combined Whittington and Westminster chimes as well as modified versions of these for small long case clocks (familiarly referred to as grandmother clocks) or just simple 14 day timepieces and dial clocks.
