A lovely antique Chinese high quality large incense burner depicting a standing trunk of bamboo with many branched and leafs and decorated with chiseled magpies, peonies and Ruyi heads. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty (19th century). On the bottom nicely shaped feet. Guaranteed original and of the stated period. Magnificent patina and material, according to age.
Three elegantly shaped sprouts for ears on the side and a large hollow ornamental bamboo in bronze on top acts as a diffuser. On the bottom a Yin Yang symbol, surrounded by the eight holy trigrams (Bagua) with a small ear.
Height: 26,8 centimeter(!)
Provenance: formerly in the collection of a renowned old Dutch antiques dealer, specialized in Chinese art.
Condition: The object is in very good condition, without any damages or restorations. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
