"La geuze 3 Fonteinen represents one of the monuments among lambic derivatives. For over thirty years I have respected Armand Debelder as one of the best assemblers, a worthy son and devoted pupil of his father, the legendary Gaston, rightly called "the nose of lambic". I recognized his stupendous gueuze from the very first sip, created from a blend of musts from Girardin, Boon and Lindemans, of great finesse and with a more marked carbonation than those of his authoritative colleagues.Today 3 Fonteinen has embraced a modern philosophy, first by combining musts also mentioned lambic of its own production and moving from the narrow cellar of Beersel to the larger new, elegant, location in nearby Lot.No danger however since, despite the recent advent in the management of young but passionate lions, obviously grown up under the protective wing and the severe control of Armand, the characteristic citric notes of the Oude Geuze 3 Fonteinen, which coexisted well with aromas reminiscent of the crust of Brie cheese and green apple, remained very present."
