A very fine old 4/4 violin, labeled Stefano Scarampella di Brescia premiato con medaglie d'argento fratello ed allievo del giuseppe fece in Mantova anno 1906. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, new boxwood set up, ealing strings bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of strongly flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. Rich golden amber reddish varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 587 mm and the back 360 mm. Width of the upper bout: 164 mm; middle: 112 mm; lower: 206 mm. The sound is powerful, sweet, deep and rich. Shipping by DHL or FedEx is possible and would be claimed according to your personal requirements
