Up for auction is a small 3/4 size master violin.
The label says: "Lor. e Tom. Carcassi, in Firenze nell' Anno 1780, All' Insegna del Giglio". Very beautiful in appearance. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 332 mm. The total length of the violin is 552 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 153 mm; middle bouts: 105 mm; lower bouts: 187 mm. High to medium grained spruce top, golden amber varnish. This violin is in a good used condition, professionally restored in our workshop. New ebony fingerboard, new pegs and new bridge.
