This hanging scroll depicts travelers on the Tokaido road during the Edo period.
The signature is “画狂老人 Gakyou Roujin”.
The mark is unknown.
On the back of the hanging scroll it says “Tokaido Mountain Journey, Katsushika Hokusai”.

It's about 500km from Edo (Tokyo) to Kyoto.
There were 53 post stations along the way, and it was very busy with travelers.
