This charming Victorian sterling silver brooch features an intricately detailed pastoral scene in high relief, depicting a peasant girl holding a lamb and flanked by foliage on either side. Oval form with applied ball decoration to the frame. The reverse side reveals a beautifully patterned geometric star and diamond motif.
The brooch is secured with an antique C-catch and tube hinge; the overhanging length of the pin dates this brooch to c. 1870s.
