Otagaki Rengetsu (January 8, 1791 (February 10, 1791) - December 10, 1875 (December 10, 1875)) was a nun, poet, and potter in the late Edo period. Her secular name was Nobu, and she was also known as Bosatsu-ni and Intoku-ni.
Her ceramic pieces, in which she carved her own waka poems with nails, were called "Rengetsu ware" and were so highly acclaimed that they became popular souvenirs from Kyoto.
