Harvest Salon - 桌 (2) - 塑料, 鋼

This set, consisting of a table and a bench, is the Graduation Project of Harvest Salon, a collective formed by Nicolas Seiler and Livni Holtz at Design Academy Eindhoven.

Based on research into a Swiss Alpine farming community and their practice of commoning, this installation emerged alongside a documentary film.

The delicate interplay of the rural environment is reflected in the choice of materials. The community is significantly influenced by the hydro-energy landscape in the area while being compelled to preserve their farming identity. Using stainless steel in combination with the fences employed to secure cattle on common pastures, the installation pieces reflect the paradoxes that coexist in this territory.

The table and bench are meticulously designed while preserving the character of a ready-made.

Bench: 42 x 40 x 40 cm (with fences, the width is 100 cm)
