日本 - 獎牌 - Wounded siver badge Sen Sho gold version

Japanese WWII wounded siver badge Sen Sho (Shoigunjinsho, large and gold version) with wooden box with gold letters.
Badge made of strling silver. red enamel and goldplated.
It was issued from 1938 and was awarded to soldiers who were wounded at the front and had shown their courage.
The image in the 32 mm medallion is none other than the famous Samurai Kusunoke Masashige.
This samurai was a legend and died on the battlefield in the 13th century and lived according to the bushido code.

On the back of the insignia you can see the spearheads the have kanji characters translated it says (Military wounded insignia).
Two more characters are embossed under the pin-back device, "Sen-sho" - awarding the badge for wounds sustained in batt
