Hello and welcome to my new account. Here, I'll be selling parts of my collection of artefacts from Mali.

Today, you're bidding on an original sculpture from the Djenné region in Mali. This statue is a Dogon ancestor/shepherd with a spear, riding a horse, mystical animal of the Dogon culture.
It has received particular attention to detail by a Malian craftsman.
I bought it during my long past journeys to Mali. It has always been stored inside a glass showcase.

***MATERIAL: African bronze. Lost-wax casting process, brown/aqua patina.
***PROVENANCE: Private collection, originally from the Djenné region, in Mali (collected in situ).
***SPECS: 18 cm height, 12 cm width. About 630 g.
