A seria of 14 original costume designs (watercolour, pencil on paper) to a theater play or ballet with famous title "Dance of seven Veils" ((usually described as Dance of Salome) was executed between 1930s and 1940s by listed Austrian design , decoration painter and illustrator Eleonore Vogler (1920 - after 1958). In several notable works of Western culture, the Dance of the Seven Veils is one of the elaborations on the Biblical tale of the execution of John the Baptist. Details enriching the story in later Christian mythology include providing a name for the dance, and describing the purpose of the dance as being to inflame King Herod with incestuous desire so that he would treat John as she wished. Inscription: 9 designs with signature by the artist, all designs each described with the name of character of title of play .

Technique: watercolour, pencil on paper. Unframed .

Measurements: each unframed w 19" x h13 1/3" (29 x 40,5 cm).

Condition: all designs are in good condition.

Très mauvaise expérience. Cadre complètement abîmé sur les côtés non indiqué lors de la vente. Il ne veut absolument rien faire et passe par mail. JE NE RECOMMANDE VRAIMENT PAS CE VENDEUR DÉSAGREABLE.

Be careful, professional extortionist! Having bought a beautiful oriental portrait from the 19th century in an original gold frame for €500, he found fault with minor delamination on the side of the frame, received a discount from Satavika and also tried to get some of the money back from me, instead of canceling the deal, as I suggested to him.

Zeer goed verpakt, ik schrok wel even omdat ik tape over het schilderij zag, maar dat bleek op glas te zitten, hetgeen niet in te tekst stond. Verder alles perfect. Heel blij mee.

Glass protects the painting from dirt. If you decide to remove the glass, Inhope , it won't be a difficult job for you. Best regards

Very lovely painting, shipped quickly and well packed. The only thing is that the clips to attach the painting to the frame are broken! Now I have to figure out how to fix this.
