The Game Boy Colour is a handheld video game console released by Nintendo in 1998.
It is the successor to the Game Boy.
The Game Boy Colour is characterised by its colour screen. By using Game Boy Colour-specific cartridges and ROM cassettes called Game Boy & Colour common cartridges, a maximum of 56 colours could be produced.
It is also possible to insert and use a conventional ROM cassette for the Game Boy.
In this case, a maximum of 10 colours can be produced.
