Bohemond was a contemporary and sometime adversary of Levon I of Armenia. Bohemond was an enemy of Saladin and an ally of the Byzantine Empire. The Crusader States were founded after the First Crusade. They each had their own coinage. The state of Antioch existed from 1098 to 1268, when it was captured by the Mamluks.
