The first publication of this renowned image occurred on March 11, 1936, on the third day at the San Francisco News ran a story about the pea pickers' camp in Nipomo. Since it was first published, this composition, best known as Migrant Mother, has come to represent the Great Depression itself.
This is the original shot made by Ms. Lange with the thumb and finger holding the tent pole.
In 1939 oginal negative was retouched masking thumb and finger.
It is a giclée print released in a limited edition of 11.
The print is in new condition, never hung or framed.
