A complete Woolly Rhinoceros cervical vertebra, belonging to a juvenile rhino: the intervertebral discs have not yet melted together with the vertebra - which is why the vertebral body is ribbed.
Even the vertebral arch is complete. You don't often see that.
This vertebra has been found by fishermen on a trawlnet ship, at the Brown Banks, Southern North Sea, Netherlands. It is late Pleistocene in age.
Very cool and robust fossil, in as good of a condition as they get.
