Kalawijan Karno Tinanding keris 31 luks, Wilah with the rare Karno Tinanding dapur (shape) and Ngulit Semangka pamor from Bali.
This rare keris is forged with the very rare Karno Tinanding dapur with 31 luk (waves). Dapur Karno Tinanding is forged with two 'forks' symbolizing a pudhak leaf located in the sor-soran. For the keris, there is no special rule regarding the different positions of the pudhak sategale position between the front and back, it really depends on the creativity of the Empu (blacksmith). In addition to the special 'forks', that dapur shows a kembang kacang on both sides of the wilah. Kalawijan is not the classification of a particular keris dhapur. Kalawijan is more of a class for certain kerises (above luk 13). In the world of tosan aji, the term referring to kalawijan or palawijan is the name given to kerises with more than thirteen luks.
The image of pamor Ngulit Semangka resembles the rind of a watermelon. The main magical power of pamor Ngulit Semangka is to ease interactions with people from all kind. In addition, the magical power contributes to making a living in a simple way. Pamor Ngulit Semangka is a form of pamor Mlumah and Tiban. It belongs to the unchosen pamor motifs and is suitable for everyone.
The keris is housed in a Solo gayaman warangka of Trembalo wood. A blewah (half open on backside) pendok made of low grade silver covers the gandar. I can only “advertise” with low grade silver as the craftsmen in Indonesia don’t use a guarantee of silver stamp.
