A wonderful mid to late 19th century extract of the original painting by Boucher which was painted in 1770 , the oil on canvas painting after the original had been restored and is offered in a lovely period frame with new mounting . A highly colourful and decorative late 19th painting that will brighten up any room .
François Boucher (29 September 1703 – 30 May 1770) was a French painter, a proponent of Rococo taste, known for his idyllic and voluptuous paintings on classical themes, decorative allegories representing the arts or pastoral occupations.
Condition report: In restored condition having been retouched with colour highlighting and strengthening to the sky areas , cleaned , and lined onto a new canvas and stretcher bars . There are areas of fine craquelure commensurate with the paintings age under close examination. The painting is on canvas. In lovely restored condition and ready to hang on the wall .
