A beautifully colored, map of the bay and the city of Macao, at that time a Portuguese colony. The map shows many details, like the wall that divides the Portuguese and Chinese and the houses for the Chinese people that worked in the city.
This version is from the more rare exclusive international edition of ´Histoire Generale des Voyages´ published by De Hondt in The Hague (Netherlands) in 1749. With titles in Dutch and French.
Excellent condition. Beautiful lively colors. Wide margins. Very strong paper. Never folded. Text in French and Dutch (more rare). Other side of the paper is blank.
