Although better known for his woodblock prints, Hajime Namiki first began as a sculptor having studied under Shigeru Ogura and carved bird figures from wood. In the late 1970's he began carving his own woodblocks and producing his prints using traditional Japanese methods. He is generally known for his tree images and often incorporates gold or silver leaf into the background of his work.

Condition: The condition of the print is excellent and it has never been rolled.
