-About Artist Eunbi Choi Korean ceramic artist based berlin who designs and handcrafts ceramic products with her unique creativity and narratives. -Artist Note The divider plate, originating from my work framework, is a work that separates surfaces to create new spaces. A single piece can come together to form a structure, but it can also be seen as being cut out and separated from one structure. Rather like the composite elements of any structure, there lie innumerable tiny pieces which combine to form a greater whole. These tiny skeletons form the framework of larger structures, like cells in an organism. The thin plates that form the basic framework of a structure intersect to form rigid constructions. The various combinations of these microcosmic plates, and their shape, area and angle allows for infinite morphological possibilities in ceramic design, and herein lies my intrigue and passion for the craft. -Stoneware, handbuilding (one and only) -Each piece is handmade by the artist at every stage, not mass-produced, so there may be slight variations in size, shape, and glaze shine.
