About the phototype technique:
Phototype is the highest quality printing process ever, with only three phototype printshops left in the world today.
This technique was mainly used for illustrating books or prints in small editions. It makes possible to achieve prints of incredibly high original fidelity.
Egon Schiele (12 June 1890 - 31 October 1918) was an Austrian painter. Schiele was a protégé of Gustav Klimt and an important figurative painter of the early 20th century. His work is known for its intensity and its rough sexuality and the many self-portraits that the artist made. The twisted body shapes and the expressive line that characterize the works of Schiele mark the artist as an early exponent of expressionism.
